RailTel Corporation of India Ltd. has received a work order from Munitions India Limited for the upgradation of MPLS bandwidth under the existing COMNET 2.0 network across 45 units of seven Defence Public Sector Undertakings (DPSUs) and the Directorate of Ordnance (DoO), New Delhi.
The contract, valued at ₹15.78 crore (including taxes), involves enhancing network capacity and strengthening communication infrastructure across the defence manufacturing ecosystem through the COMNET 2.0 platform.
The project is aimed at improving connectivity, network performance, and operational efficiency across key defence establishments, supporting the growing digital communication requirements of the sector.
RailTel, a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, has been actively expanding its footprint in telecom, networking, and digital infrastructure services for government departments, public sector organisations, and defence-related institutions. The latest order further reinforces the company’s role in delivering mission-critical connectivity solutions for strategic and national infrastructure projects.
